I’m Harrison St. John, the founder of St. John Signature Metalwork. My journey in metal fabrication began at 16 years old, and over the past 9 years, I’ve built a career that blends technical precision with creative craftsmanship.
After gaining hands-on experience in diesel repair, heavy equipment, and high-spec environments including semiconductor, aerospace and stainless steel manufacturing, I transitioned into my true passion: ornamental and architectural custom fabrication. Over the years, I’ve specialized in crafting bespoke metal pieces that are both artistic and structural. From signage and furniture to intricate patina work and forged accents.
Located in Gallatin Gateway, Montana, my work is inspired by the rugged landscape, rich wildlife, and timeless aesthetic of the region. The shop is fully equipped to build custom staircases, handrails, countertops, fireplace cladding, and virtually anything else you can imagine in metal—whether decorative or structural. I work with a wide range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass to suit the needs and character of every project.
I hold myself to the highest standards of quality and don’t let anything leave my shop unless it’s perfect. Each project is a blend of creative design, functional utility, and Montana grit—crafted to stand the test of time
